How to measure:

Please ensure you are using a European metric based measuring tape.

Collar: take the measurement around the base of your neck where the collar will sit.  Make sure you leave room to breathe, one or two cm depending on your preference of fit.

Chest: take the measurement of the chest around the fullest part, pull the tape up under your arms, making sure that you level the tape around the back and over the shoulder blades. This is the measurement of your body.  For the shirt or polo, add 10cm to ensure the fabric is not hugging the body.  Halve this figure for the ‘chest width’ detailed in the tables above.

Sleeve length: (see drawing below) - take the measurement from the centre of the back neck just below the collar, along the shoulder seam and down the outer sleeve to the tip of the cuff and then add 1cm.

Belt Re-Sizing

In order to ensure the perfect fit, dunhill belts can be cut to size. To do this, please follow this step-by-step guide:

1. Decide which hole you want to use for your buckle. Where there are 5 holes, we recommend that you choose the middle one. Where there are 4 holes, we recommend that you use the second tightest one.

2. Without putting the belt on, attach the buckle to this hole so that the belt is fastened. (fig 1)

3. Turn the belt buckle over. You will see a small clasp on the rear that retains the leather strap. (fig 2)

Lift this (fig 3) to release the belt from the buckle. (fig 4)

4. Feed the belt through your trouser loops. (fig 5) Overlap the ends and pull the belt to fit it comfortably around your waist. Where the buckle meets the other end of the strap is the point at which you need to cut the belt to size it correctly. (fig 6)

PLEASE NOTE:
In order to fasten the belt into the buckle, a centimetre of the belt end needs to be fed inside the buckle itself. Take this into account when you are marking where to cut the belt. It is better to leave the belt a little too long than to cut too much off. If in doubt, add a couple of extra centimetres on to your measurement. You can always repeat the process and trim the belt, after you have made the first cut and tried it on for size.

5. Take the belt off. Using very sharp scissors (if they are not sharp, you may damage the leather, or be left with a ragged belt end that is hard to re-fit into the buckle), make a clean, straight cut through the belt at the marked point. (fig 7)

6. Re-attach the belt into the buckle, taking care to push the belt end all the way into the buckle before closing the clasp. (fig 8)

Dunhill will not accept returned belts that have been cut to size. All returned item(s) will be subject to a Quality Control (QC) check on return receipt. If item(s) do not meet QC standards then the item(s) will be returned to the purchaser at the purchaser's cost.
