5. PAYMENT

5.1

We accept the following major payment cards only: MasterCard and Visa Card, Payment will be debited from Your account upon receipt of Your order by Alfred Dunhill. You are responsible for confirming that You are the legitimate holder of the payment card and that Your details are correct. All payment cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.

Furthermore, We subscribe to the Verified by Visa® and the MasterCard SecureCode® programmes. These programmes protect Your current Visa or MasterCard with an individual code or password created by You.  Both these programmes have been created to give added protection against the unauthorised use of Your card when shopping on-line.

You will need to activate Your card and create Your personal password before benefiting from either the Verified by Visa® (http://www.visa.com.tw) or the MasterCard SecureCode® (http://www.mastercard.com/tw/).

5.2

If the issuer of Your payment card refuses to authorise payment to Alfred Dunhill, We will not be able to process Your order and a message will appear informing You that the transaction cannot be processed.

5.3

Alfred Dunhill, together with its partners, takes all reasonable care to make the dunhill On-Line Taiwan Store as secure as they can. All payment card transactions made through the dunhill On-Line Taiwan Store are processed by Standard Chartered Bank using their secure online payment gateway (see below) that encrypts Your card details in a secure hosting environment. We do not hold Your payment card details on the Alfred Dunhill server.

To help ensure that Your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure, Alfred Dunhill uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This encrypts and protects the Personal Information and payment data You send to Us over the internet. When SSL is enabled, You will see a padlock at the bottom of Your browser and You can click on this to find out information about the SSL digital certificate registration.

We will employ all reasonable care to ensure that details of Your order and payment are held securely. However, We cannot be held liable for any loss You may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data You provide when accessing or ordering from dunhill's On-Line Taiwan Store.
